Rhodochrosite

Rhodochrosite is a carbonate mineral with high amounts of manganese. The white and pink banding it often displays has lead to the nickname “bacon stone.” Rhodochrosite was a sacred stone of the Incas – they believed it to be the solidified blood of their gods and royal ancestors.
