Apache Tears
Apache Tears are pieces of obsidian that are naturally tumbled to a round shape. During the 1870’s the Apache tribe and US Calvary were preparing for battle in Superior, Arizona on a mountain where deposits of the stone are found. When Apache warriors realized how outnumbered they were, they rode their horses off the cliff instead of surrendering. From this event the name of the stone was formed.
